Designing a skills profile that maximises conversion
Synchrone's communications team designed six mock-ups, the sales team picked one, and we made it achievable down to the pixel: a summary first page, three key assignments pinned by the recruiter, and brand guidelines applied without compromise.

A skills profile held back by Word
At Synchrone, a skills profile took several hours and came out of a linear Word template. "We were very limited graphically," explains Sarah Dray, Head of Marketing and Communications. "We had stayed with something very linear because linear was all we could do." Six solutions were compared before choosing Clustor. The number one criterion was not functional — it was the visual result.
Six mock-ups, a collective decision, seven iterations
Synchrone's communications team designed six mock-ups. Clustor answered on feasibility mock-up by mock-up, so that only genuinely deliverable options were shown to the teams. The sales team made the call, and the chosen design took seven visual iterations before sign-off. The result: a first page that says it all — initials, role, mobility, then three key assignments pinned by the recruiter with the end client's logo — and brand guidelines applied without compromise, down to removing every rounded corner. One requirement created a lasting product capability: "we will never leave a heading alone at the bottom of a page."
464 profiles in four weeks
The rollout went team by team, in the middle of a CRM migration and despite a two-week data freeze. The CISO's security review was completed in under 24 hours, and single sign-on via Entra ID was set up. Four weeks after go-live, 54 of the 65 users had generated at least one profile — 464 profiles covering 260 candidates, peaking at 149 profiles in the second week.
« The template is very good. Honestly, I ran quite a few tests. It works, and it works well. »
